Portfolio Building {Family Portrait Photography | Port Angeles, WA}

One of the (many) great suggestions I came away with from Kevin Kubota’s Digital Photography Bootcamp was to put myself in Portfolio Building mode.  Kevin and Clare suggested I follow Dane Sanders’ approach, which was to get out there and really start shooting!  So, I took their advice and offered portrait sessions for free along with discounted prints and products.

It’s been an amazing experience.  It’s definitely not something a photographer can do for the long haul if they want to stay in business, however, I do believe this has been a win/win experience for me and my clients.  Honestly, it’s been a ton of fun, too.  These families have been amazing!

Here are a few photos from some December sessions.

Oh, and before I forget, I read this great blog post today on Going Pro – Educating the Masses: Why Helping Others Learn Won’t Kill Your Business.  There are so many great resources out there and a lot of generous photographers who share their insights and some great information.  It’s a great motivator to pay it forward.

In order to give myself a little more time to work on the business end of things, I will offer this portfolio building offer through February.  There are a few sessions available, so if you’re interested, I’d love to hear from you!
