I had a really fun session last weekend with the Busch family. It was sunny outside, but that didn’t mean it was warm! The Busch family was so wonderful, you’d never know that their bones were probably freezing that day.
Okay, I’m going to try my hand at a drawing. Why? Well, one, because Mother’s Day is coming up, and as a mom, I want to help celebrate all of the wonderful moms out there! And two, because I want to let everyone know about the new package I’ve put together!
Just for Kids Mini-Digi Package
This package is designed for kids only, so mom and dad can relax and not worry about what they’re wearing! Mom, you don’t even have to do your hair or put on make-up! 😉 I will capture who your child is (or who your children are) so that you can remember this time in their lives in a fun, easy-going, and simple way. The digital negatives are included in this package, so you can print, share, and scrapbook ’til your heart’s content! This is what it includes:
- 45 minute session at the outdoor location of your choice (in the Port Angeles and surrounding area) for up to 3 children in your immediate family
- 12-15 fully edited images on CD
- Value: $250

It’s hard feeling so helpless when something as devastating as the earthquake in Japan happens. My cousin and friend are doing what they can to raise money, and it inspired me to try to do something as well. If you’ve been thinking of having portraits taken of your kids or family, I hope this is a way for us to help those in need together. Every little bit helps, right?
March Special [Support Japan]
Book your spring Family Session or Kids Only Mini Session by the end of March, and I will donate the $100 Family Session Fee or $100 of the Kids Only Mini Session Fee to the Red Cross (specifically for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami). Sessions do not need to be scheduled for the month of March, but the sessions must be officially booked by March 31, 2011.
Wintertime in the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable, to say the least, so flexibility is a must for outdoor portrait sessions here. We had planned on a family session last month, but that’s when we were hit by the big snowstorm! We managed to time in a dry-ish session with beautiful overcast light.
I’m a little behind with blogging, but it’s so fun to put photos up here on the old blog. The Oakes are a really fun family, and the kids are a hoot and a half! So lively and full of great energy! We lucked out with beautiful light, and I absolutely loved the tall, neutral-colored grasses. The neutral background really made the family and colors pop. I love the clothing colors they chose for this session.
Owen is fun, charismatic, and creative little guy.
And little Daphne is as sweet as they come.
Can I just tell you how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful part of the world? We have a beautiful piece of heaven here called Lake Crescent, and when Rose suggested having portraits taken there, I thought it couldn’t be more perfect.
Have you had your dose of cuteness today? Well, check out these little guys.
